Introduction
A gazetteer is a list of geographic places and their associated information, such as names, coordinates, and administrative regions (for example, country, state, or province). While countries are already implemented as Geographic areas, you can use Gazeteers to georeference a certain location (e. g. mountains, nature conservation area...) There are many ways to add or edit Gazetteers (from Leaflet, WKT coordinates, simple coordinates, GeographicAreas, already implemented Gazetteers or as batch upload). Your Gazetteer can be a point, line or polygon and can consist of several shapes (e. g. multiple polygons of islands to summarize the island group). Here, we provide videos demonstrating the two most common ways to quickly create a Gazetteer.
